Frequently Asked Questions | IFS Therapy with Sanni

Answers to common questions about online IFS therapy, what to expect, and how we’ll work together.

  • I work 100% online, allowing you to meet with me from the comfort of your home or wherever you might find yourself in the world.

For in-person therapy in Stockholm, I can highly recommend my friend and colleague Anuschka Hallander.

  • I offer therapy online in English for clients across Sweden, the UK, Europe, and Asia.

We meet on Zoom, and you’ll get a private link for our sessions. Many clients actually prefer online sessions; they’re more flexible, easier to fit into your day, and let you meet from a comfortable, private space.

Many of my clients are based in Stockholm, London and Hong Kong, but I’m happy to meet with you regardless of where you are.

The only exceptions are US and Canada, as I can’t work with clients there due to insurance reasons.

  • This depends on your goals, your history and how far along you are in your healing journey.

Most clients I work with are in therapy for at least 6 months.

That said, you can always end the therapy when you feel like it’s time or if you want to take a break.

  • I offer sessions between 8 AM - 3 PM Central European Time on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • I offer sessions on a weekly basis only. Consistent weekly sessions create the continuity that allows the work to go deeper, and I've found that this rhythm best supports real and lasting change.

  • You can find my fees here.

If you’re based in Europe, you can pay with a regular bank transfer in your own currency, without any extra fees. If you live outside Europe, you can pay by credit card.

  • At this time, I don’t accept insurance from any country.

  • That’s common. Many of my clients have had therapy that stayed surface-level, gave them quick coping tools, or made them feel misunderstood. With IFS therapy, we work differently; we go deeper, helping the parts of you carrying old burdens and the patterns that keep you stuck.

  • Yes. If you’re always pushing through, running on fumes, or feeling like you can’t be fully yourself around others, therapy can help. We’ll look at what’s driving those patterns and start building a way forward that actually fits you. If you’re unsure, book a free consultation and you’ll get a sense of what it’s like to work with me before deciding.

  • You don’t have to have it all figured out before starting. Many clients come in feeling confused, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. That’s part of the process – we’ll sort it out together.

  • Fill out this form book a free consultation.

During the free consultation, we'll talk more about the issues you'd like to work on and what kind of changes you'd like to see.

I’ll tell you more about the type of therapy I do and you can ask me any questions you have.

If we feel like we'd be a good fit to work together, we'll decide how we want to move forward with the therapy.

If we don’t feel like it’s a good fit, I'm happy to give you referrals to other IFS therapists that may be a better match for you.

  • I work with adults (20 and older) who want to understand themselves on a deeper level, process past trauma, and move toward a steadier, more connected life.

I’m not the right fit if you’re currently dealing with schizophrenia, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), a personality disorder, or an acute crisis such as active suicidality or a recent suicide attempt, as I don’t have specialist training in these areas.

I recommend finding a therapist with specific expertise in these topics so that you can get the best possible support.

  • The clients who get the most out of our work together are those committed to attending weekly sessions and willing to explore the deeper patterns keeping them stuck. Weekly attendance matters because real, lasting change happens through consistency, not just in the sessions themselves, but in the momentum that builds between them.

The people who benefit most are those who are ready to truly get to know themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. That said, we will always move at a pace that feels right for you and your system, and there's no pressure to go anywhere you're not ready to go. The most important thing you can bring to therapy is an openness to the process and a commitment to yourself.
