Living abroad isn’t always the fresh start you were hoping for.

Whether you’ve moved to Sweden recently or have been here for years, life transitions, cultural differences, or a sense of being “in between worlds” can stir up emotional patterns that feel confusing or hard to manage.

And those issues that you’re more than familiar with – anxiety, repeating relationship patterns, and painful moments from the past – can show up more intensely when you live abroad.

If you also feel different in some way – highly sensitive, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, child-free, or just outside the norm – it can add even more weight to what you’re already carrying.

In therapy with me, you get to show up exactly as you are.

I often work with people who feel a little out of the ordinary.

Many of my clients identify as highly sensitive, autistic, ADHD, LGBTQ+, child-free, or simply don’t feel like they fit in. If that’s you, therapy with me is a place where all parts of you are welcome.

I offer online therapy for English-speakers in Stockholm and the rest of Sweden, and use an approach called Internal Family Systems (IFS).

In IFS therapy, we explore the different parts that shape how you think, feel, and act.

You might notice:

  • a part that keeps prioritising others’ needs, even when you’re running on empty,

  • a driven part that can’t rest until everything feels under control,

  • or a part that shuts things down with food, screens, or endless distractions.

Rather than trying to get rid of these parts, we start getting to know them in a new way that allows us to process the past, and change the way we show up in the present.

You may find yourself:

  • calmer and less reactive with others,

  • more able to set boundaries without guilt,

  • and more genuinely present with the people and activities that matter to you.

Iris flowers in bloom – representing healing and self-discovery with therapy in Hong Kong

Many of my clients have already spent years thinking, analysing, and trying to manage their emotions.

They’ve tried approaches like CBT and talk therapy, and relied on coping strategies that worked for a while – until they didn’t.

IFS therapy takes us a layer deeper.

We don’t just talk about what’s happening – we work with it directly.

Together, we’ll gently access and process the emotions and beliefs under the surface, so they can start to release.

My approach is calm and grounded – and always focused on what’s most relevant for you.

We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, letting real change happen rather than forcing it.

Over time, the things that once felt heavy or stuck begin to shift.

Change can feel like being more present, less reactive, and more connected to yourself and others.

If you’ve done the surface-level work and are ready for something deeper, I’d love to work with you.

How I can support you

I work with adults who are navigating life a little differently – whether you’re neurodivergent, sensitive, questioning your relationship, recovering from burnout, or integrating a psychedelic experience.

Together we create space to understand your feelings, process the past, and move forward with more confidence.

  • People come to me for many reasons – anxiety that doesn’t let go, the weight of stress or burnout, relationship struggles, or feeling the need to finally process the past.

Many of my clients identify as autistic, ADHD, or highly sensitive, and therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to mask or explain yourself. We start from the assumption that your brain works differently, and that’s okay.

I also welcome people who are self-diagnosed or still figuring out whether they’re neurodivergent.

Together, we’ll explore your patterns, needs, and challenges in a way that honours your neurotype.

  • Do you often question your relationship or feel caught in loops of doubt? Relationship anxiety and ROCD can make it hard to relax and trust your feelings.

Together, we’ll get to know the parts of you that seek certainty and the ones that fear loss or rejection, so you can move toward relationships that feel more steady and secure.

  • Navigating the end of a relationship can bring up overwhelming and conflicting emotions – grief, anger, longing, relief and guilt.

IFS therapy is especially helpful here because it gives space for all these different parts of you, helps process both fresh heartbreak and old pain that may resurface, and supports you in finding clarity about your next steps.

  • When everything feels like too much – whether from work, caring for others, or just pushing yourself for too long – burnout can leave you drained and disconnected.

In therapy, we’ll untangle the pressures that keep you running on empty and find sustainable ways to rest, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most.

  • Psychedelics can open up powerful insights, but they can also bring confusion or overwhelm.

Integration therapy offers a grounded space to explore whatever came up – insights, challenges, or emotional material – and weave it into daily life.

If you’re preparing for a journey, we’ll also look at how to enter it with clarity and intention.
