Living in a world that wasn’t built for you is exhausting.

You’ve spent years trying to keep up, mask your differences, or push through overwhelm.

From the outside, you might look like you’re managing – but inside, it feels like a constant uphill climb.

  • You’ve learned how to mask and play the part, but social interactions leave you tired and disconnected.

  • Emotions come in fast and strong. They flood your system and stick around long after the moment has passed.

  • Your mind loops and replays – overthinking, searching for certainty, never fully letting you rest.

  • Stress builds up quickly, and burnout always feels like it’s waiting around the corner.

  • Deep down, you’re torn: part of you longs to be seen as you are, while another part insists you hide to stay safe.

You deserve a therapeutic space built to fit your mind – not one where you try to fit in.

IFS Therapy Helps You Work With Your Mind, Not Against It

IFS therapy won’t erase your neurodivergence – and it doesn’t need to. Instead, it can help you build a different relationship with yourself – one that feels less exhausting and more true to who you are.

Together, we can:

  • Support the parts of you that are working hard to mask and manage overwhelm.

  • Shift your relationship with your inner critic and perfectionist, so they don’t run the show.

  • Get clear on your needs and practice voicing them, even when it feels vulnerable.

  • Learn to relate more from your curious, compassionate core, rather than from fear or shame.

  • Start processing the impact of being neurodivergent in a world that didn’t understand you: the beliefs and burdens you’ve carried, and the chance to finally set them down.

IFS gives you space to be fully yourself – and to build a life that truly fits your mind.

What Makes My Approach Different

As a fellow neurodivergent person, I know what it’s like to struggle with things that seem easy for others.

I’ve worked with autistic clients, HSPs, and ADHDers, and I’ve seen how standard therapy often misses the mark.

Too often you’re told to reframe your thoughts, get out of your comfort zone, or try meditating. For neurodivergent people, this kind of simplistic advice can feel shaming, invalidating, and completely out of touch.

IFS takes a different approach.

It doesn’t ask you to push yourself into someone else’s mold. Instead, it works with how you actually think, feel, and experience life.

The truth is that moving through the world as a neurodivergent person leaves its mark.

With IFS, we can start to acknowledge, process, and release the beliefs and burdens you have had to carry.

That opens space to connect with yourself, build closer relationships with others, and create a life that fits you.

Common Challenges My Neurodivergent Clients Bring to Therapy

  • Racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, or looping worries are common.

For many neurodivergent people, this comes from trying to connect with a world – and often with people – whose brains work differently, which can feel unsafe or unpredictable.

We’ll get to know the parts that carry your anxiety and support them in finding new ways to keep you safe – creating more space for calm and clarity.

  • You might long for connection but feel overwhelmed by social demands, or find yourself replaying conversations afterward.

Some people worry about being “too much” or “not enough” in relationships.

Relationships can feel especially tricky when your way of thinking or feeling doesn’t match the neurotypical expectations around you.

In therapy, we’ll work with the parts that crave closeness and the ones that fear rejection, helping you feel more grounded and secure in your relationships.

  • Burnout can look like constant exhaustion, brain fog, and feeling like everything is too much.

For neurodivergent people, burnout often happens after years of trying to adjust to a neurotypical world that doesn’t recognise your limits or needs.

We’ll help the parts of you that drive you to overextend find new ways to support you, so you can move toward rest, energy, and balance.

  • OCD can bring looping thoughts, compulsions, and a constant search for certainty – often feeling like a battle inside your own mind.

Research suggests that OCD is more common among autistic and ADHD individuals than in neurotypical people.

We’ll work with the parts of you that get lost in obsessions and compulsions, helping them feel more comfortable with uncertainty so they don’t have to work so hard to keep you safe.

  • Neurodivergent people are more likely to experience trauma, often because of being misunderstood, excluded, or pressured to conform.

Past experiences – whether big events or ongoing stress – can leave parts of you stuck in fear, shame, and self-protection. These parts may get triggered easily in daily life.

In therapy, we’ll gently build trust with these parts so they no longer feel alone, helping you move toward more safety and self-compassion.

  • Many neurodivergent people grow up with the message that they’re “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “not good enough.”

Over time, these experiences can turn inward as shame or harsh self-criticism.

Together, we’ll meet the parts that carry these beliefs and begin shifting toward a more compassionate, accepting view of yourself.

If this feels like the support you’ve been looking for, the first step is to book a free 15 minute consultation.

In that call, we’ll talk about what you’d like to focus on, how I work, and whether it feels like the right fit for you – no obligations.

 FAQs

Whether you’re autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive (HSP), gifted, or just suspect you might be neurodivergent, you probably have questions about what therapy looks like, how I work, and whether this approach is right for you. Below I’ve answered some of the most common questions neurodivergent clients bring to therapy.

  • No. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or just wondering, you’re welcome here. What matters is your experience, not a label.

  • A lot of neurodivergent clients come to me after therapy that focused on reframing thoughts, pushing harder, or trying to “fix” them. With IFS, we work with your mind rather than against it; slowing down, understanding your unique ways of being, and creating space for real change.

  • Yes. Therapy won’t erase your neurodivergence, but it can change how you relate to it. We have ways of helping the parts that mask and manage overwhelm. That gives you more freedom to be yourself without burning out.

  • No. We go at your pace. If starting with trauma feels overwhelming, we begin with what feels safe, like current struggles or daily challenges. We only go deeper when you’re ready.

  • No. I work with many different clients, but I have a particular focus on autistic adults, ADHDers, HSPs, and gifted people, because I know how often standard therapy overlooks or misinterprets their needs.

  • Yes. I offer online therapy in English for clients in Sweden, the UK and rest of Europe, as well as across Asia. If you’re living abroad or moving between countries, online sessions make it easier to have consistent support wherever you are. My only limitation is that I cannot see clients who live in the US or Canada due to insurance reasons.
